Statement of Beliefs

The Congregational Methodist Church is a Bible-believing church. We are conservative in beliefs and evangelical in our purpose. We are a contemporary voice for Biblical Holiness.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS:

The TRINITY of the Godhead, one God in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The BIBLE as the DIVINELY INSPIRED, INERRANT WORD OF GOD that contains the only way to salvation.

The CREATION by a definite act of God, and the doctrine of the fall of man from his state of original holiness.

The DEITY of JESUS CHRIST, that He is very GOD, and very man;

The ATONEMENT of Christ, through His death and resurrection from the dead; as the only means of salvation.

The doctrine of REGENERATION, or the new birth, by which the sinner becomes a child of God and is delivered from the bondage of sin; and becomes a new creation.

We observe COMMUNION as a symbol of Christ's sacrifice. The bread and the cup represent the body and blood of Christ. Those

who have accepted Christ participate during the periodic observances.

The personal, imminent, PRE-TRIBULATION return of JESUS CHRIST for those who have been born again.
